Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing and using HomeGPT, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of service

HomeGPT helps you plan work on your home. You upload a photo of your house, a room or your garden and choose what you want to change. HomeGPT shows design options drawn on your photo, each with line items (materials, colors, finishes and rough costs), and can turn the ones you pick into a plan and a brief to share with contractors. Rough costs are an AI estimate of typical prices in the project's country (and region, where we know it), in its currency. The service is provided "as is" and may be updated or modified at any time.

3. User accounts

You can try HomeGPT as a guest, and buy Starter or Pro without an account: a plan bought that way stays in that browser until you sign in. To save projects across devices, share a brief, buy a Build Pass or start the Pro trial, you need an account. You must be an adult to make a purchase. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information
  • Keep your account credentials secure
  • Notify us of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

4. Free designs, plans and payments

  • Free: 2 free designs a day, with no login, no watermark and no card needed. Each design shows two options
  • Designs are the one unit we count. A new design uses 1. Each design includes one free color swap or redraw with only the items you ticked; after that, a swap, a redraw or asking for one change uses 1 each. "Not my house?" draws a design again for free up to 2 times a day. If a design or change fails, it is not charged
  • Starter: $4 a month or $29 a year. 5 designs a day and no ads anywhere, for your household of up to 6
  • Pro: $9 a month or $69 a year. 20 designs a day, color swaps and redraws free (fair use, up to 30 a day), the full plan for every project, PDF briefs for contractors, Compare styles, Change one thing, Ask about this design and Save in HD, with no ads, for your household of up to 6. If you have not subscribed before, Pro starts with a 7-day trial with 5 designs a day; you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then
  • Local prices: In the United Kingdom, Build Pass is £15, Starter is £3 a month or £23 a year and Pro is £7 a month or £54 a year. In Canada, Build Pass is CA$25, Starter is CA$5 a month or CA$39 a year and Pro is CA$12 a month or CA$94 a year. In Australia, Build Pass is A$29, Starter is A$5.99 a month or A$44 a year and Pro is A$14 a month or A$105 a year. In India, Build Pass is ₹1,299, Starter is ₹249 a month or ₹1,999 a year and Pro is ₹599 a month or ₹5,499 a year. In Indonesia, Build Pass is Rp 249.000, Starter is Rp 49.000 a month or Rp 349.000 a year and Pro is Rp 119.000 a month or Rp 999.000 a year
  • Build Pass: $19 once, for one project. 40 designs for that project, color swaps and redraws free on that project (fair use, up to 30 a day), the full plan, a PDF brief for contractors, Compare styles, Change one thing, Ask about this design and Save in HD on that project, and no ads on that project. Its designs can be used on any day, beyond the daily limit, and it never expires
  • Compare styles, Change one thing, Ask about this design and Save in HD (Pro on every project; a Build Pass on its project). Compare styles shows your photo in up to 4 of the job's styles side by side; each style is a new design and uses 1 design. Change one thing redraws your chosen option with one change you describe, adds it to the item list with a price, and uses 1 design; Pro can always make 2 a day, even after the day's designs are used. Ask about this design answers questions about your design and plan, up to 30 a day; its answers are AI advice, not a professional assessment. Save in HD makes a copy of a picture at twice the size, up to 10 new ones a day, with a before and after picture and a summary picture to share
  • Refunds: if a purchase did not help, ask for a refund within 14 days of buying a Build Pass or of a Starter or Pro charge
  • Starter and Pro renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your account with Cancel renewal, also for a plan bought without an account, and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for or of the trial
  • Prices are listed in US dollars (US$) unless shown in your local currency, as they are in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India and Indonesia. Elsewhere, checkout shows the final price in your currency, which may include a regional discount. Prices shown in the United Kingdom and Australia include VAT and GST. Other taxes may be added at checkout where they apply
  • Web purchases are processed by Dodo Payments. Purchases in the apps are made through Google Play or the App Store, which manage billing, cancellation and refunds for them under their own rules
  • If you already subscribe, your price is locked for life: it never goes up while you stay subscribed, and you keep at least everything your plan includes today
  • We may change prices for new subscribers and new purchases. Scale and top-up packs are no longer sold to new buyers; any balance you already have is honoured
  • Deleting your account cancels a subscription bought on our website, so you are not charged again. A subscription bought in Google Play or the App Store is cancelled in the store; cancel it there before deleting your account

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use HomeGPT to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Upload photos you do not have the right to use, or photos of people without their permission
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures or usage limits
  • Use automated systems to access the service
  • Interfere with other users' experience

6. Intellectual property

Your content: You retain ownership of images you upload. By uploading, you grant us a license to process them for the service.

Generated designs: AI-generated designs created from your uploads are provided for your personal and commercial use.

7. Estimates and plans

Designs are AI visualizations and the finished work will look different. Costs and quantities are rough ranges estimated from a photo, not quotes or measurements. Always confirm scope, measurements, prices and any permits with a qualified contractor before work starts.

8. Limitation of liability

HomeGPT is provided for visualization and planning purposes only. Generated designs and plans are not professional architectural, engineering or interior design advice. We are not liable for any decisions made based on them, or for work done by contractors you choose.

9. Service availability

We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. If we retire a feature you paid for, we will offer a fair alternative or a refund.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms. You may permanently delete your account from Settings on the website or use the account-deletion control in the mobile app. Deleting your account removes your photos, designs and projects as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
