HomeGPT focuses on home exteriors, curb appeal, gardens, yards, patios, decks, and outdoor living areas, and also redesigns rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms from a photo.
Home improvement calculators
The calculator library helps estimate project inputs such as square footage, waste, pavers, boards, posts, roofing material, paint coverage, soil, mulch, sod, and seed.
How the AI redesign works
You upload one photo of a house exterior, yard, patio, garden, or room. HomeGPT reads the photo first: what kind of space it is and what can change. You pick what you are changing (a whole new look, paint, siding, the patio, deck and fence, the garden, or a room), a direction or style, and what stays as it is, then add a short note if you like. HomeGPT draws two options that keep your home's layout, roofline, windows, and doors while applying the new look, and lists each change with its material or paint, a rough quantity, and a typical local price.
Start with 2 free designs a day, with no watermark and no card needed; no account is needed to start, and a free account saves your project. Paid plans add more designs a day and remove ads. Because the output is a generated concept rather than a photograph, small elements such as house numbers, signage, or fine trim can be imperfect. Try a clearer daylight photo taken straight on, or pick another direction.
What happens to your photo
- Photos are sent over encrypted connections and passed to the AI generation service solely to produce your design.
- If you are not signed in, you use HomeGPT as a guest and your designs are saved on this device.
- A free account keeps your projects on any device. From the account page you can download a copy of your projects and designs, or delete the account and its data at any time.

HomeGPT is an independently built and maintained product that has been online since 2023. It is not affiliated with any other app, company, or store listing that uses the HomeGPT name; this website and the HomeGPT Android app on Google Play are the products we operate under it. HomeGPT concentrates on the outside of the house — exteriors, curb appeal, gardens, yards, decks, patios, and the material calculators and cost guides that go with those projects.
